White House- Embrace
Trina Merry
Body Art
Description of the artwork
This masterpiece by Merry actually holds a significant meaning behind it. Merry stands out in the artistic field particularly because of her usage of artworks to protest against social issues.
As pictured, the two nude models are on a bed of flowers with the White House as the backdrop.

Speaking about it, Merry said: “This layered work explores juxtapositions between culture versus nature and power versus protest. The fading Garden of Eden-like embrace reinvents the love and pacifism of the Flower Power movement.” (Barns, 2016).
